12. Website Transfer and Cancellation Policy
a. Website Transfer
Clients may request the transfer of their website away from Kingston Web to another hosting provider or developer. To initiate a transfer:
- A formal written request must be submitted at least 14 days in advance.
- All outstanding invoices must be paid in full prior to transfer.
- A Website Transfer Fee of £150 applies to cover administrative and technical handover costs.
- Kingston Web will provide access to relevant files, databases, and documentation, but is not responsible for setup or troubleshooting on third-party platforms.
b. Website Cancellation
Clients may cancel their website services with Kingston Web at any time by providing written notice. The following terms apply:
- Cancellation does not entitle the client to a refund for any services already rendered or paid.
- If cancellation occurs during an active development phase, a Project Termination Fee of £200 may apply to cover time and resources invested.
- Hosting and maintenance services are billed monthly or annually. Cancellation must be requested at least 7 days before the next billing cycle to avoid further charges.
- Upon cancellation, Kingston Web will retain archived copies of the website for up to 30 days, after which all data may be permanently deleted.
